Wafer Butterfly Valve is produced to protect the system against bidirectional pressure difference in the fluid in a system. The sealing valve prevents backflow in the system. It is used within the basic working principle. Since it has a wide usage area, it is possible to observe such valves in different areas.
Valve with flat flange surfaces performs with a tight-fitting gasket on the surface. The disc is placed in the gasket and thus, protection is provided in the system against two-way pressure difference. Wafer butterfly valve, which draws attention with its innovative features, has a structure that enables long-term use.
What is a Wafer Butterfly Valve and What Does It Do?
Wafer Butterfly Valve, which draws attention with its many features, is one of the butterfly valve types with a national design. Thanks to their compact dimensions, these types of valves enable practical use and also provide effective protection of the system. It is basically designed to protect the system against bidirectional pressure difference that may occur in the fluid in a system.
The general characteristics of this type of valves are as follows;
What is a Wafer Butterfly Valve
Wafer Butterfly Valve, which is a type of butterfly valves, provides tightness during flow and prevents leakage due to pressure difference in the system. Its mission is important and therefore such valves are needed in many areas. Since each product is equipped with various disc materials, it has a compact working principle.
Designed in EN 593 standard, the product also has Wafer Type ISO 7005-1 EN 1092-1 connection type. It is known that they are used in many areas such as hot and cold water lines, water treatment systems, industrial areas.
What Does a Wafer Butterfly Valve Do?
Wafer Butterfly Valve is a type of valve with sealing feature. It contributes to the regular flow of the system. In addition, it prevents leakages in the flow in the system with its sealing feature. Wafer butterfly valves generally include the following features:
The features of the product make this type of valve preferred in many areas. In addition, with its durable structure, the Wafer butterfly valve has long-term use.
Where is Wafer Butterfly Valve Used?
Wafer Butterfly Valve can be used in different areas and fluid levels as it has an innovative feature. Some of the areas where such valves are frequently used can be listed as follows:
Wafer butterfly valve, which attracts attention with its wide usage area, makes high performance possible with its innovative features. In addition, it is designed to be used for a long time.

Paint Electrostatic Powder Coating
DN350 and above Industrial Age Epoxy
Equipped with various disc materials and EPDM, NBR and VITON gasket options, it can be used in various fluid types and different applications. DN350 and above butterfly valves; The inside of the valve body is vulcanized with EPDM (Elastomer) rubber.
Compared to other valve types, it offers light weight, easy installation and cost advantages with its compact dimensions.
The flap design is designed to create minimum pressure and as a double shaft.
DN350 and above have single shaft design.
The inner and outer surfaces of the valve body are coated with an electrostatic fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) / baked powder epoxy coating. It provides trouble-free operation and longer life in harsh conditions. It is DN350 and above industrial wet epoxy.
Higher coating thicknesses are available on request.
DN 350 diameter and above are supplied with a standard gearbox, and DN 300 diameter and below are optionally delivered with a gearbox, so they are supplied with a manual lever.
Electric or Pneumatic actuators fit directly onto the valve top flange (ISO 5211). No additional spacers are required.
There is no mounting problem in PN6-10-16 and Class 150 flange norms.
It is extremely easy to maintain.
Four flange mounting half-lugs ensure correct valve position during assembly
The valve body and disc are machined with high precision, resulting in low operating torque and long service life.
