Natural Gas Ball Valve – Brass

Back

Natural Gas Ball Valve – Brass; Brass natural gas ball valve is a type of valve made of brass material consisting of a mixture of copper and zinc. The most common type of valve used recently are ball valves. Ball valves, with their unique working principle, are designed to control the liquid or gas flow of a rotating ball with a perforated structure. Natural gas ball valves made of brass material, on the other hand, allow the gas flow to be controlled with the same working principle. Brass natural gas ball valves, which have a very sensitive production process, have a very important role in the distribution system. The most basic task of these valves is to ensure that the system is in the open or closed position. The lever located over the valve indicates whether the system is on or off.

What is Brass Natural Gas Ball Valve and How Does It Work?

Brass natural gas ball valve has been developed to ensure that the installation is active or passive in systems such as gas, compressed air or LPG. Although these valves are made of brass material, CNC machines play an active role in the production process. Natural gas ball valves made of brass have high resistance and durability against deformation and external effects at low temperatures.

Due to these features, it is suitable for use in almost every gas installation. However, it is not recommended to use brass natural gas ball valves in installations above 5 bar. Since such installations host high temperature pressure, it is possible to say that brass ball gas valves are not suitable.

What is Brass Natural Gas Ball Valve?

Brass natural gas ball valves are valves made of brass material using copper and zinc in order to ensure that the distribution system is in the open or closed position in the gas installation. Today, while it is widely used in gas installations, it is also heavily preferred in heating and cooling systems.

Brass natural gas ball valves are also suitable for residential use. Natural gas ball valves, which are a kind of control tool, are also used in industrial facilities in the industrial area today. Especially in the chemical and food sectors, the resistant structure of brass ball valves is applied within the scope of natural gas solutions.

What Does a Brass Natural Gas Ball Valve Do?

Brass natural gas ball valve has many different functions. The most basic function of natural gas ball valves made of brass is to keep the main installation open or closed. At the same time, these valves can be used to throttle or slow down the gas in motion in the installation.

Natural gas ball valves, which have a quarter turn structure, can be rotated 90 degrees. The working principle of natural gas ball valves is based on the position of the hole in the ball with the gas flow. While the hole is in a position parallel to the gas flow, the system is open, when the hole is aligned with the flow rate, the gas flow in the installation is stopped.

Where is Brass Natural Gas Ball Valve Used?

The brass natural gas ball valve is in the closed position when it has a right angle to the installation. In order for the valve to be fully open, the handle must have a parallel structure with the installation. Brass ball valves have a wide range of uses today. It can be used in almost any area where natural gas flow is required to be regulated.

The usage areas of brass natural gas ball valves are as follows:

  • Food and chemical industry,
  • Houses, residences, living spaces,
  • Shipbuilding and gas industry,
  • LPG and compressed air installations,
  • Heating and cooling solutions,

In addition to these, brass natural gas ball valves are widely used to control various flammable gases and to determine their position in the system. Brass ball valves are suitable for use in the temperature range of -10 to +60 degrees Celsius.
